The Academic Jury of Law (ACAJUL-Asbl), dedicated to child protection, undertook a comprehensive study on street children in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo, from May 2018 to November 2020.
The objective was to engage with and understand the lives of these children, seeking viable solutions for their safeguarding.
A series of initiatives were launched, including child monitoring, provision of meals, street withdrawal, ad hoc psycho-social support in a transit center, healthcare services, clothing provision, education, and family tracing for reintegration purposes.
ACAJUL aspires to set a precedent in child protection, aiming for their holistic and sustainable development. These efforts were made possible through the generous contributions of local and international donors committed to the welfare and future of children.
